Need a "WOW" picture: 3rd Gen
Hey guys..
I need a picture that is "wowing" of a third gen. It can be a 99 spec, or anything. It will be used as my background for my LCD CarPuter inside the car. Maybe nice driving picture of a Red 99 Spec? Or some abstract picture of going down the seem of the car with a nice background? Something cool. Anything would help. For some odd reason when I am looking for something neat, I cant find it. I like this picture: [/img]http://www.importspeedsouth.com/JoseRX7/IMG_1756.jpg[img] Any help would be appreciated. |

these are good background photos
http://importspeedsouth.com/JoseRX7/IMG_1756.jpg http://www.angelfire.com/electronic2...ome_rx7_ad.bmp also you can obviously crop out the import south logo and top part of the top picture pretty easily |
|
hey just wondering but does that red 99' spec FD have a glass sunroof?
|
Well it's obviously an American-spec car that's been converted to the newere bumper. I believe in '95 there was a glass sunroof available.
|
Look for them yourself! :)

wow.......all those pictures look amazing......I thought no pictures did the fd justice, somehow I never seem to be able to catch the magic of my FD when I take pictures of it, its so much more breathtaking in person, but these pictures are pretty capturing.

Some good ones in this thread, but I still like this one best.

Originally posted by OneBadRx7 I think it is fake, like a magazine picture or something you would find in the dealers broshure. Batman has different foglights and black wheels. Also he has removed the orange piece from his front lights and running clear front turn signals. He has black interior, not tan. Oh and he has a 99 front lip where the one in this pic has the stock R1 lip. Definitely not his car, his car looks better, lol. I just washed the car. If u can zoom in (granted the resolution is good enough) u should see that the passenger window is still a little wet, a mistake no professional guy would NOT miss. Also, there is a reflection of the powerline in the glass as well. I lowered it and installed the fog lights. The pic was taken with a Nikon N90s with Kodak Ektar 25. My interior is tan. I redid the seats black. |
Is it me or does the 99 front end look like it's "smiling" compared to the more serious look of the earlier FD?
|
|
Sweet pics!

Nice FDs.

that pic with the doors open was 70000 miles, not near the 200k mark when u saw it.
The car has been repainted since with powder coated hood and fenders to address this ongoing rock chip issue. Front bumper might get clear armour. I assure u that there is NO PHOTOSHOP. It has to be in the camera............. |

Here is one of my all time favorites, which I believe Mazda used for brochures:
http://speedycars.chinacars.com/wall...7%20-%2001.jpg The same site seems to have scanned other shots from Mazda's literature: http://www.speedycars.net/wallpaper/mazda_rx-7.html Here's a nice group shot: http://susanwp.hp.infoseek.co.jp/wp1/rx7-02.jpg Finally, here's a nice action shot. This guy's gotta have some fender rubbing problems :) http://webs.ono.com/usr000/silja/Mazda%20RX-7.JPG |

  WOW.
In that first pic...isn't that the exhaust comin out the side, right in front of the rear wheel well/fender?? (on the left side of the car) Why is that? Is there some advantage/race-oriented explanation for that? Cuz I've seen that on a cpl of cars now...like the Skyline R34 race prototype (when it first came out) had the same thing...and that thing kept on makin fireballs...practically cooking the side of the car haha |
Heres a croped pic of that first (really nice) FD. It looks really good as a desktop backround. Centered with a black backround.
|
Spoolin,
I would be pissed off if someone took my photos I took the time to create and cropped out the identification marks to use for general distribution. |

Spoolin,
I've had my pictures taken and used *without* my permission before, both cars and non-cars. It's someone benefiting from my work without them doing any work of their own. That's why I give a fuck. Shit man, atleast credit the source. Oh, you were born in 1985? That pretty much explains it. |
