Stick with your photography. ;)

I think some people have missed the point of the picture being used. It will be a background, much like on a PC as I understand it (Please correct me if I'm wrong here). Which means that it can't be busy and filled filled with every color you can find.

Ok is "stick with your photography" an insult or a complement? I did it in like 2 minutes. Give me a break. You make a good point of the pic being just a background. Why didnt i just say that.

:rlaugh: I also thought it was quite funny how he commented on zoom rather than the poor lighting, making it where zoom wouldn't help. :)

FDNewbie 01-25-04 11:05 AM

Ya'll stop bustin the guy's chops...

I personally thought the photoshop job was pretty damn good...if I saw the pic for the first time, I prob wouldnt have thought it was a photo job, unless I looked real close...

Maybe that's cuz I have untrained eyes for this typa thing, and all of you are photoshop experts...but in any case, aiight i think he got the point lol

oh and clayne...right on point. id NEVER let ANYONE lay or lean on any part of my car. aluminum, CF, wutever. look, don't touch.
while others see "hot chick on the car!", i see "OMG...potential damage or dent!!" haha

There are. He has shown a tendency to come barging into other people's threads to treat everyone to his negative opinions... some of us are just returning the favor. He also claimed he was a "professional photographer" in another thread... :)

Photochop is a commonly used term on the internet referring to the digital altering of an image using "any" software that can manipulate pixels as photoshop can.

You could use MS paint for all I care, it still sucks... But your a "professional photographer" in your mind so you know that all ready... And before you argue that you never mentioned yourself to be a professional, I will remind you that i concluded that information by the way you act and not by what you actually said. :p:

Wow...super crucial

You know, what you said reminds me of a very profound quote by Ralph Emerson...

"What you are speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say..."

Actually don’t do that in other peoples threads. I think you are confusing me with yourself. I only flamed on people that flamed on me.

Why are you guys bashing him taking out that logo? He's not reselling the picture to anyone, just taking out the logo to make it look better. It's not your car, your picture, or your company, and thus, you have no right to complain about it. When he does it to a picture or company you own, then you can complain. Until then shutup and move on with life and stop complaining about little things like pictures YOU DONT OWN.

Yeah seriously, you guys are fighting over a PICTURE. step back from the situation and look at it again, this makes all of you look like your twelve.

No, originally we were fighting in another thread over his butt-fucking-ugly Bomex body kit and the incredible gall he has to be telling anyone else that he thinks something looks "ricey".

Then he claimed he was a professional photographer, and of course now it's open season the "professional photographer" because none of the pictures he's posted look even remotely like they were taken by anyone but a child with a cheap camera.

The fight now is about his "professional" advice (cunningly disguised as a smartass comment) to use zoom or get closer to the subject, so listen up... You might be able to pick up some good pointers on how to take better pictures from the guy with pictures that look like shit.

I think that pretty much sums it up... game on.

Car!!!!

Yeah well it doesn’t really matter. I know what i do for a living, and I enjoy what i do. As far as a professional goes, a professional is someone who gets paid for what they do. And amateur is someone who doesn’t. It doesn’t not state how good you are. But you must be good to be an professional, or else no one would pay you to take pictures of them. I have all the little pieces of paper that say I can take pictures well. And I don’t really care what you think, if you believe me or not about my profession. The pics of my car were just snap shots. I wasn’t planning on entering them in a PPA competition or hoping they would go Loan Collection. There just to see what it looks like. You really need to let it go man.

GAME ON!!!

You lost me with all the technical jargon... Snap shots? What in the hell is a snap shot, and how is that any sort of justification for taking lousy pictures? Doesn't Mr. Professional Photographer have a decent digital camera in his arsenal?

Ok the camera i used was off of my camcorder. If i am not mistaken the biggest size pic you can post is 102kb. And with my digital camera i use at work is a Kodak DCS Pro 14n. Witch takes 14 mega pixel pictures (actually its 13.5mp). I don’t know if you know what that means but the pics size is huge, the resolution is also. The average pic taken in 14mp format is 41MB viewed in TIFF file format, i don’t think the forum would appreciate that. The camera allows for adjustment to 6mp and 3mp. But even 3mp its to large. I would have to resize and bring down the resolution of all the pics i take and that would just be so tedious. So i use my 2mp camcorder camera, and upload worry free.

People have been working with 100-200 MB single TIFF files since 1992, bro.

Ever heard of a Linotronic?

This pic gives me an idea. See how the sun light in the rear taillight makes the interior around the circles look almost aluminum or gunmetal colored? Think it would look good if that were painted a similar color? You can take the lights apart with a heatgun. I have an old set I may try it on.
