So my transmission has been griding 5th gear for about a year now, and this past weekend decided that enough was enough. So I called a shop in my area (Bay Area, Fremont Ca) and asked how much a rebuild would be if I brought them the transmission. Needless to say I was shocked... Just don't have the 1,100 hundred which is the minimum for the rebuild on my 93. They said it could be more with hard parts. More like it will be more. I have heard of people getting JDM transmission and have done searches and have yielded nothing. Even tried a google search. Any 3rd Gen Rx7 owners out there In the S.F. Bay Area know of a place when I can pick up a good transmission.

In Santa Clara there is Rotor Sport, very nice guy, it was less than 1000 to get the 5th gear grind, reverse grind, new clutch, and resurfaced flywheel.
