Need some tech help

Okay so I have no idea whats wrong so my searhes on this forum came up useless, so plz dont hate me if this has been asked before.
I have a 93 FD, stock tranny but aftermarket ACT clutch. When I am idling, with the clutch pedal disengaged, there is a clanking type of noise coming from the clutch/tranny area. When I depress the clutch, it stops. It also makes the noise when im accelerating through 1st and 2nd and I can faintly hear it in 3rd also. The noise also goes faster with higher engine speeds. Some friends say it could be a bearing, some say a tranny problem. Plz any info would be great.
