Need some help very odd

i have a 93 FD and its actin up alot. its burning oil, and ive rewired the ignition system (was needed) but the real probleme is that the car will run ok for a while but then randomly run like **** and wont stay running, i have to start it over and over and step on the throttle until it pops out some fire and **** and it will run again for a while. ne ideas advice or whatever ill take it thanx. mike

you need to list what mode the car has in order to be helped out,at least thats what I always read here when someone is having a problem.Good luck

Well i resodered some wires and the main prob is fixed. but i am still burnin oil. its a stock turbo set up non sequential, full exh, street port and PFC. any segguestions on what the cause of the oil burning might b? i know im still gettin used to the REs.

When you say burning oil, do you mean in copious amounts, with tons of smoke and all?? Or do you just mean that every week the oil level is a little lower than the week before??

FD's consume oil naturally as a means of lubricating their seals, so if it's just a little bit missing, at a steady rate, than you're good to go.

As for everything else.. that kinda sucks, whats the compression?

i use non sythetic 10 30. and no its smokin like a hippie. the other stuff i think i fixed i went back and redid my wireing again. hey also where exactly is the PCV located cus i know those like to b replaced often too so im thinkin that might have sumthin to do with all this.
