Need some help: rebuild ran fine, now it's running like crap

Despite it being 100 deg in the shade, I just got the new engine running today. It was running great for about half an hour, then I shut it down to fix the cat gasket and stick the undertray on. When I fire it up again, it runs like crap and shuts off. Seems like it's just running on the front rotor based on the timing light.

I'm low on ideas right now, I've checked compression (100 plus), it sparks front and rear with the plugs grounded out, and the fuel pump is running when jumpered. Deflooded it a couple times, still ran like ****.

Pull the plugs, this just happened to me 10 minutes ago. My front rotor plugs carboned up for some odd reason... still trying to figure out why it happened.

I did, they were a little wet. They spark fine when I rest them on a ground and crank it over.
