ok here's the problem.....i started up my car and went to go to my buddies house about a mile down from my house she didnt want to rev past 1500rpm and shut off on me. I then waited about five minutes and started it up and it turned on fine BUT it wouldnt let me rev past 1500 and the idle was about 200 rpm's off.. So i got my dad and his truck and we towed it home. Once it was in the driveway i tried to start it agian and now it seems to be fine revs like normal!!! does anyone know what could of caused this???

Is your car bone stock, any mods? Would you happen to have a PFC so you can watch the volts on various things? When you say "wouldnt rev", do you mean it sounded like it was hitting a rev limiter? Or like it was falling on its face? Did you check all the simple things, like spark plug wires, making sure that you are getting pressure at the rail, etc? You need to give details for us to be able to help you.

 

my mods are non-sequential,power fc, dp,catback,greddy fmic,4x850cc injectors,supra tt fuel pump. Once the car reached 1500 it basicly sounded like it shut off and It idled like around 700-800. im getting fuel pressure i havent checked plugs or wires yet cause its dark out. It was wierd from the time i went home and got the truck and towed it back home it started up fine and i was able to rev to 6 grand no problem...

 

sorry when i said it sounded like it shut off it DID shut off and when i would restart it, it idled around 7-8 hundred.
