Need some help on drivetrain ideas

Ok, so currently I have a B&M short-throw and an ACT street/strip with an extreme pressure plate. It is a solid setup but Im not too impressed with the feel. The B&M seems too notchy and leads to slower throws and the act is murder on my left leg. Could anyone give some ideas on some options...

Thanks,
Neal

How about the stock shifter...And make your leg grow...Haha, just kiddin. But Ive got the stock shifter with the same clutch set up youve got. I love it. Ive always heard that you either love the short shifters or hate them. I really see no point in them on the FD. I mean come on, the stock one is damn short. You dont need to shift mad quick to be fast.

What a coincidence, i have the same exact setup lol

I feel that my shifting is slower, feels like a long pause between shifts. I know its not my driving cause i been driving stick since forever. When i had the stock shifter, i dont remember it being like this. But i love the short throws so i might just change my clutch setup later on.

Or maybe i should get a ETB, not sure if that would help.

Yeah, I love the slot feel of the B&M but the throws seem alot slower...

I have heard alot of peolpe rave about the SPEC clutches that use a kevlar disk so you dont need a heavier pessure plate, I just havent heard anything either way from 7 owners.

My concern is that it feels like the 7 has lost its nimbleness with the mods.

From what ive heard, people tend to think the B&M short throw makes the shifter feel notchy and i have heard that some feel it makes them shift slower because of that. I have heard nothing bad about Mazdaspeed short throw kits. I think theyre a bit spendy though.

On a side note, I havent heard anybody not like this clutch set up. I love it. It feels great, slips just the right amount, and locks up like crazy.

Why did you go with the Extreme pressure plate instead of the normal ACT S/S pressure plate? Are you running over 400 rwhp or something? Ditch the short shifter.

I have the ACT S/S and the stock shifter....shifts are short, clutch is easy effort.

I have a TO4-R so 400rw is within reach and possible.
