Need a new battery

Hello,

Ive had my car a little over 2.5 years now. Mazda Rx7 1993...

THe batery is dead and is time to get a new one.

any suggestions on makes or models i should be looking to get ?

Optima yellow top.

Had once since summer and it cranks strong all the time everytime. Even if i didnt start the car in a week or so.

I have an optima red top and works great, but so do yellow tops.

have you or do you plan on changing the intercooler? Is your battery tray busted?

if no changes, consider an Interstate Megatron. I've had them last 8 years.

A good idea would be to get a optima, and relocate it to the pass. side bin, imo

A battery is a battery. I am fairly stingy and use the cheapest batteries I can find, usually from Walmart. I live in an area where 20 below temperatures are not uncommon, but I find that these batteries start up as strong as more expensive ones in such cold conditions. Batteries do not affect performance (except during startup) and minutely affect some electrical components (stereo, lights) that do not draw power from the alternator.

Just some thoughts.
