im buying an rx-7 soon but the bad thing is it is a 4 speed automatic and i want a 5 speed. does anybody know where i can find one? i need it to b really cheap and in working comdition. this will help me greatly. thanx.

 

you gotta search in the FAQs stickied at the top of the forums. do some research its not just the tranny your gonna be changing. if u just want a tranny you can look in 3rd gen classified at the bottom of the forum. pm japan2la for a jspec used tranny

 

The cheapest you'll find is from the classifieds. A decent used one is under $500.

Do not turn this thread into a WTB thread. Start one in the right forum.

From some of the threads I have read on here about auto to manual conversions, it would be cheaper to buy a manual trans car to begin with.

The FAQ thread stickied in this forum has some good links regarding that conversion.
