Need major help.

We had been converting from twin turbo to single turbo. On start up the car would have a lot of smoke. Well, we came to the conclusion that the main reason was because it was running very rich. On the wideband it was rated at 9.3. I guess that's one thing that has a temporary solution. After that one time it didn't smoke as much any more.

Well, the car also has a PowerFC, the car would not idle. The RPM would constantly move between 900RPMs-2700RPMs. It would just go that way irradically. We let the car stay on for 2 hours and it still wouldn't learn it. What could possibly be the problem with it? My friend said the waste gate is stuck open, what should I do about that?

Well, I unwrapped the wiring harness because I wanted to make sure that it had everything in the wiring harness done right. It was really hacked up. The wires were just wrapped in electrical tape..... I plan on soldering them back together. Would that be a good idea? Also, what should I use to rewrap the wiring harness? Also, he's got the rats nest cut out and the ends are all just wrapped by the electrical tape. Should I wrap everything in electrical tape, then cover it with heat shrink leaving about half an inch out, then rewrap it with heat shrink? What should I wrap it with just to be sure that everything is protected from the heat.

How should I go about fixing all this stuff? Thanks for the help!!!

you're better off getting a new harness than trying to repair it.... you might just make it worse. it'll cost quite a bit, but you're ensuring that you won't have any electrical problems or fires.

hunting idle? check for vacuum leaks EVERYWHERE.

Single with PFC running rich.... they come with a base map tuned on the safe side and so it's natural to run really rich, its just enough to get it to a tuner, and do not really "learn" their maps.... you must take it to a tuner who is proficient with a PFC and the rotary.
