need information on Control unit

I am having trouble finding the function of this control unit located on the passanger side, behind the ECU. .
I have looked in the Manual but not having any luck. Does anyone know what it is used for or what page I could find it?

'92 Jspec Part number N3A7 18 701 (1st-2nd photo)
'94 US model number N3Z1 18 701 (3rd photo)

Regards,
Oliver

I would be interested in more information. I know of the coolant fan relays but that is located in the eingine compartment.

Today, I search the manual somemore and found out that the control unit maybe called the E/L unit or Electrical load control unit (pages F-135/136 and F-67)When I have more time, I will trace the wires and see if I am 100% correct.

If anyone can help me confirm this, that would be great.
Thanks

I looked at the electrical load control unit too, but the last two pics show a different connector (6 connectors on a 2x4 pin connector) than the E/L according to the wiring diagram.

I am thinking load control. the part number N3A7 should match your ECU. contact Dale Clark he may know.

Thanks Dave,
The last 2 pics are from my '92 Jspec FD which I am stripping to build a racecar. I plan to remove everything that is not needed. I'm trying to use my other FD which is a '94 US model and Shop Manual to findout what the Control unit is used for. I have discovered that the control units, connectors and wire colors/ locations are NOT the same.

bringing this back from the dead. I just removed my factory ECU and attached to the ECU itself via a metal tab is the same black box that says:

CONTROL UNIT
N3Z1 18 701
6C28A
NALDEC 10706 40

There are 2 rows of pins, 8 pins each row. There wasn't a connector going into this and I can't find one dangling anywhere either. What is this used for? Mine is a US spec 93 manual trans from california
