need help with wiring harness

Well, It has been several wweks since my FD died due to a wiring problem. It has killed two ECUs and I just decided to replace the whole engine harness instead of paying the dealer to do it for me. I need some info as to what steps need to be taken.

1.Will a JDM engine harness from a 93 FD work in my US FD?

2.What parts will have to be removed to make this work? I am hoping that the engine is not one.

3.Is there any step-by-step procedures that i need to follow. If yes, what and where. Ive tried searching and cant come up with anything. Sorry.

4.Does anyone have any pics that would help out? This question directly relates to question 3.

Any advice/info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Get the American harness, why chance ******* things up with a Japanese version!

The UIM, ign coils, and rats nest needs to come out.

You also have to take out the ECU since the harness has to be pulled thru the firewall.

Most importantly: the new harness will have the cooling system recall jumper harness built into it. That is the small jumper harness used to install the little black box that control the fans for testing and which we also use for fan mod switch. Pull it out also!

I know the battery cables will need replacing because the JDM battery has super small posts. Other than that, it looks pretty much the same. Will the EGR solenoid interfere with my emissions? What the hell is the EGR anyway<------stupid question. The reason I posted this is because I got a great deal on a used (but in great condition) JDM harness and think that i could replace it myself without to much trouble.

EGR is Exhaust Gas Recirculation. It has something to do with emissions. Mine is removed and disabled (no solenoids, Apexi Power FC for an ECU).
