Need HELP IS these parts

I just connected the battery and had the ignition on like an idiot and I heard something clink and fall out of the bottom of the engine or the starter I think. Is this a part of the starter? I do not want to try and turn the motor over yet to see if it is starter parts , so I need some help.

Steve

Looks like the "e-shaft bypass valve" and it's spring.

There is an exploded diagram in the shop manual, section C you can reference.

See pg. C-39, parts 3 and 4

If you put in an Atkins thermo-pellet then you wouldn't need these two items, and you're good to go!

I am wodering if it is not a part from the vehicle imobilizer I had installed. As soon as I hooked up the battery I heard a click and then this dropped out. It looks like a part of a solenoid. I will check the parts reference You listed busy13b.

Thanks

Edan I ran out of time today for pics and will get them tomorrow.

Could you take pics from different angels, and zoom in a bit?
