Need help starting problem!!!

OK left my car sitting for 2 1/2 months and just a couple of days ago I went to start my car turn my ignition on and there is no light or what so ever and I couldn't start it. I mean usually when you put the key on you should see all the engine warning lights before you crank it. Well I thought my battery was dead so I went to buy the die hard battery charger to charge my battery for a couple of hour and the power is on but still I couln't start it but the headlights, radio, alarm, etc... is working fine so that's a good sign. Well next thing you know when I took off the battery charger, there was no power no engine warning lights no nothing. Then we jump start the car and it started right up with everything working. So I let it run for awhile then I shut it off and it is back to where it started all over again. I have spent a hole day trying to figure out the problems and I couldn't figure it out. So I can only start the car by jumping start it and it just couldn't start by itself without jumping start it with another car. Should I replace a new battery and what can be wrong I really need help. Thanks.

If a battery is completely drained it's very likely it goes bad.
