Need Help pulling a 94 TT RX-7 Stateside

I found a 94 rx-7 twin turbo for a good price in japan, but when i get it here, how will i legalize it? Can I? I know it is like near impossible to do a 99 or 2000 on, but I heard that a 94 is possible because they were in the US that year. Any one know? I am in NC, so I will need to find someone in NC,SC VA, GA, FL to do the fix. let me know

Josh

Is the price that good that you can't land another one here for a similar price? Otherwise I don't know. Since it is a 94, crash should be irrelevant, I don't know what the laws are on right hand drive...

The right hand drive models are not considered "significantly similar" to the left hand drive models that were sold in the US, therefore, they are not allowed permanant residence in this country. If you want to bring it over, be prepared to bring over three others for crash testing, and swap out the engine with one that is EPA certified.

...and... it costs $3-5K to get a car into the US from another country, no matter what the purpose.

However if you move to England you can import and drive any car, from any country you like.
