need help pricing 94 RX-7 for sale
Selling 1994 RX-7 - Montego Blue w/ tan interior - 72K miles
has rear seal oil leak - new buyer can try to fix or replace engine....
otherwise very good condition - new turbos, new suspension, and new clutch as of last week...
I've spoken to many experts and dealers and have been told that I can get $14K for it...Looking for opinion from this board...Any thoughts???
thanks,
Jeff

more info is needed, but given what you habe provided, i would think 11k-12k would be about right....
positives:
+relativelty low miles on chasis
+1994 (vs 93)
+new turbos, suspension, clutch
+5 spd
negatives:
-need for new engine (or so it sounds like)
-color isnt the best for resale
other questions:
condition of the interior? exterior?
touring? base? PEP?
accidents?
paint original?
clean title?
any mods (reliability/performance)?
rationale for price: i'd say now the market will allow about 16-17k for a 94 in a desirable color with about 50-75k and a solid engine. the cost of the new engine/install as well as the color drive the price down a bit.
best of luck!

Jeff,
You posted a couple of weeks ago asking about that oil leak. Have you had a rotary specialist look at the car yet? It sounds like the dealer is yanking your chain regarding that "rear oil seal leak". That leak might be the frickin oil filter leaking for all you know. Finding out what is leaking is the difference between selling your car for $10k vs. $15k.
