If it's an aftermarket stereo, you'll have to check the wiring for bad connections and grounds. Sounds like you may have something aftermarket if you have a separate amp.

Get a multimeter and start testing things.

Also, how are you testing fuses? Many times a visual check isn't enough.

i used a tester for all the fuses and pulled them out individually to see if they were blown. everything i have for audio is aftermarket, i was working for about 2 days and then everything stopped working suddenly. dome lights as well stopped working. i used a tester on one of the wires behind the stereo and the dome lights and stereo flicker on and off. all the wiring seems to be good not sure what else i need to check.

The weird thing is the dome lights and the stereo are, I think, a separate circuit.

Double-check that your front wheels haven't eaten through the fender liner and into the wiring harness that runs over the wheel well. That's common on lowered cars.

just checked the wires in the fender liner, nothing was eaten up through the fender liner. yellow wire behind the stereo is the only thing i know that whenever i make contact with a tester it flickers the dome light and stereo.

Are you troubleshooting off ignition power, or with the engine actually running?

If you are just on ignition power without the engine running, lights could flicker/dim if overall power consumption is high.

If you are seeing this with the engine running as well, test the alternator output and make sure it's in spec.

What is the second beeping noise on the last half of the video? I hear the normal door/ignition chime, but then something else seems to start beeping.

I would try to see where its coming from. I recognize the door/ignition chime, but I do not recognize the beeping that starts on the last half of your video.

I would try to isolate and troubleshoot all of your custom components. Disconnect them all and see if the problem still occurs. If it does not you are lucky and can start adding them back in one at a time until the problem comes back.

9 times out of 10, weird electrical issues are caused by aftermarket components wired into the car. The stock harness rarely if ever has problems.

I'll try and watch the video later, I can't watch it at work unfortunately .

I would probably start with the dome lights, that's a pretty basic circuit. I think they are just wired hot and wired up to the door switches - door is open, the lights come on.

The shop manual's electrical diagrams and a multimeter are your friend here.

Does the car have an alarm or keyless entry or anything like that?
