Exclamation Need help to install Gotham Racing's Oil Catch Can

I just got this Catch Can but I can't figure out exactly how to install it, I know that I have to connect one side to the PCV and the other one on the turbo vaccum side but there is a 2 inches piece with 2 metal nipples that came with the kit and I don't know where it goes.

Someone has instructions or something ?

I have a '93 FD.

Thanks a lot !
Carl

hook one side to the line with the pcv valve. Leave the valve there though. The other side goes to the side nipple on the oil filler neck.

You don't need the PCV check valve there in this case. It's only there so you don't pressurize the oil system from the manifold under boost. If you are rerouting that line from the manifold to the catch can, the valve would never have boost going to it anymore.

Well it depends if the particular catch can is vented. If its not you are still going to pressurize the system. I like to leave the valve there. Make sure it flows towards the catch can.

You either vent the can with a breather filter, or if the can has an inlet and outlet you just remove the current oil filter line to the oil vaccum source and plum the catch can to it. Yes, you have to vent it, but the PVC check valve has nothing to do with that part.

That looks exactly like the one I got off of ebay on a whim..for 14.99+s/h lol.

I have mine set up like this:

Nipple on UIM for PCV is capped off, then I ran the line from the oil filler neck to one of the catch can nipples, then the other to the front turbo vac nipple.

I have mine bolted to my Air box, and am using the stock hard lines from the oil filler neck to the nipple below the thermostat housing.

Ill take pictures when Im done with it, if anyone cares.

Ok, here are the pics of my catch can with the simple L-bracket I made to bolt it to the air box:

Here is where I ran the turbo line - stock location:

And here is where it connects to the stock hard-line that goes to the oil filler neck:

One thing though, the idea is you dont want oil to leave the oil pan, and so Crispy's idea of the turkey baster is a good one, especially in conjunction with catch can, and I may be using it along with this, and along that line, fluids flow downhill, so I may end up not using the stock hardline as part of my "system", and instead run a silicone line higher up, so it is more level or even better, flowing upwards toward the catch can...we'll see.

Note: The one I got from Ebay was a hideous blue color. As you will notice, I changed painted it black, which looks much better (didnt do such a good job taping the nipples off apparently ).
