Hey guys I did a really dumb thing. I bought a nice polished water pump housing and I sold my housing and pump. the new one did not come with any sensors or female sensor things in the back of the housing. I meant to take the ones off mine before I sent it away but I fogot and now I am stuck w/o these. I've PMd the guy who I sold it to but have no confidence that will help. Where can I get these...I am worried that mazda will say they don't sell them seperately and I need to but the entire assembly. Please help. thanks

 

Goto the 3rd gen for sale section, and buy a used one. There have been enough people parting out FDs, that you should be able to find one, cheap.

You just need the two sensors from the back of the housing?

If so, the top is the thermosensor and the bottom is the thermoswitch. You can get both from Mazda. The thermoswitch is the one people replace with the Miata part to turn the fans on earlier.

 

Thanks guys...i believe it is the thermosensor that I'm missing...I was all upset about this. Glad to hear I can get them seperately at the dealership
