need help: electrical problems

My car doesn't like to get wet. When it does get wet (when i wash my car or it rains) it wont start, or if it does start, it runs like crap till it stalls. Sometimes, all the lights will go dim like the battery is low, my PFC reads about 6 volts battery. But then if i unplug the battery and plug it back in, it will have full charge and try to start the engine again.

One time, I put the key in the ignition and the tachometer started jumping around like it was possessed. Also, once it started making some clicking noises from the fuse box by the battery.

Any suggestions??

this may sound stupid but check the alternator connects.I had a sim prob before and this was my answer. At least Im tryin!!if that doesnt do it checkthe wires on the underside of the fuse block connected to the batt.,...ooh,heres another ,if you have a pettit cold air,the heat shield sometimes splices the wires in the front harness(the one that goes around the front of the car--above radiator,etc..)if this shield is or has been on your car then thoroughly check this whole front loom and you might just find your problem.,... ooh one more, make sure the connect is good on the starter and if you havent already run a ground from the lower starter bolt to the frame, then do so,itll help starting and you cannever have to many grounds on this car and this is one of my fav's.If you have anymore questions just call,my #s in my location box.I have all the electric and elec troubleshooting books and would gladly help you out...regardless please pm your results

oops forgot, the click is prob the main relay going on and off,due to a poor connect somewhere and that helps narrow it down because it gives you a good start but try the other things and might resolve the prob

I got it fixed, the problem was the connection from the battery + to the main fuse box was corroded really bad. It looks like somebody put a type of screw on there that wasn't suited for electrical connections, because after I cleaned off all the corrosion, there was barely any screw left!

I spent about a half hour cleaning off the rust and corrosion and now I am getting 12v+ from the battery. And the car starts and runs fine. I didnt expect it to be so simple.

Thanks for your help!
