Ever since i bought the car ive been able to lock it but havent been able to unlock the car. It really is a pain to crawl throught the hatch every time to unlock it. anyone have any ideas on what i need to do to fix this??

 

Both doors? Pull the lock assemblies and clean with solvent, lube and reinstall. Not rocket science.

 

Chain lube for chainsaws works really well, if it's a problem with the key cylinder sticking. The lock rods could be bent as well, or the plastic retainers could be broken. The best thing to do is pull the door panels, outside door handles, and inspect the whole assembly, if the chain lube doesn't work or the cylinder is not your problem.

Lock assembly is attached by 2 nuts under the semi- triangular door trim directly behind them.

 

I was cleaning mine last week so here's my tip: don't overtorque those two 10mm nuts when you put them back on. The metal studs screw into aluminum posts on the door handle side and if you tighten them too much, say goodbye to your threads.

 

It will completely turn the unlock direction but nothing happens. So whats my problem and i have taken the lock of and the rod it still connected and moves freely?

I would say it's the rod. Had similar problem with my door. After a couple broken keys, changed rod and had no problems

 

where can iget the rod? or any other door accesories like the cable that connects to the rod?
