Need Help: Do I have enough $$$ to buy a core and rebuild it

what i want to do is buy a blown core, rebuild it with street port and 3 mm seals. I saw on rx7trix.com they have a stage 3 package for $4000 but i need the core.

I have $7000 all together but id like to buy a T-78 turbo kit and have about $4000 left over for the motor. Im guna then buy a rolling chassis in the summer and get some other essentials over he summer.

So the question is, is $4000 enough to rebuild a blown core with 3mm seals and street-port?

also has anyone gotten a rebuild from rx7trix.com, if so how were the people and how was the motor?

thank you

If you are paying someone else to do the installation, you will be short a few grand.

I'm no expert in single turbos, but if you ar getting rebuilt motor that is ported and w/ upgraded seals and oil passages you will also need upgraded 1300cc injectors. You'll also need a PFC to run the larger injectors and ported motor. The timing is different for a ported motor. You will also need to buy misc. stuff like gaskets, hoses, clamps, FDP, maybe a clutch while the motor is out etc.

I spent around $8,450 on my rebuild using myy stock turbos...

$2,200 Mazda Reman
$1,400 Pineapple streetport and upgraded coolant seals and oil mods & evans coolant(3gals.)
$500 Misc hoses and stuff
$500 ACT S/S clutch
$400 Injectors to be enlarged to 1300cc and cleaning of the 550cc's
$1,800 Labor R&R (motor swap)
$350 Koyo Rad
$1,300 Power FC, commander & datalogit

$8,450 I must be ******* nuts!
$$$$ Still need dyno tuning...
Now add the cost of a single turbo and a good IC, and some serious fuel mods to feed a T-78...
