need clutch help

I am having a hard time dealing with the clutch I have. I bought the car about 8 months ago and the previous owner had installed a new engine, turbos, HD Mazda clutch and all the engine wiring. I have all the receipts from the dealer so I do know that all of the parts were new and authentic mazda parts. Since all of the new parts, my FD has had about 12,000 miles put on it.
My clutch is starting to stink like an old clutch does when it is slipping. Also, the transmission will not go into gear after spirited driving. I have tried driving the last few miles home extremely soft but the next morning it has trouble going into gear. I have heard that this might have something to do with the pilot or throwout bearings.
I have a hard time believing that even after 12,000 miles, that the clutch would be worn enough for it to start slipping but maybe i am just an idiot.
Please let me know what might help the tranny stick and please let me know what kind of clutch would be good to upgrade to, 4puck, 6puck, full disc, etc.

Your clutch is fried. Get an ACT to replace it and what ever you do don't take it to a dealer to get the new one installed.

Mine is an ACT strip/street clutch, runs very nice.
You can chage it yourself with friends help.

I installed a Racing Beat HD clutch and with my mods it lasted only 5 months.
I now have the ACT 6-puck with Extreme pressure plate and it's great! And SO easy to use.

Warning ! 6 or 4 Puck makes the car difficult to drive in traffic... unless you're dedicating the car to the track.. race or drag you want to really think and ask, and possibly drive a 4 or 6 puck system... It's extremely quick and sudden to engague, so there's no real slipping it and getting going... you're either in or out ... Think about it....

Well.. I've had the ACT 6-puck and Extreme pressure plate for about 6 months now, and it's not hard to drive at all.
It took me about 1 minute to get used to it.
I was very suprised when I tried it the first time, because I had heard that it would mke the car very difficult to drive..
A lot of people have tried my car, and not ONE of them have made any remarks about the clutch. And I'm also talking about 17-18 year old girls here...
