Need Advise On Manual Transmission And Brake Fluids
Hi Guys/Gals,
As the subject says, I need some suggestions in what brands of Transmission and Brake Fluids fellow FD owners have used. I will be changing all the fluids in my FD after a streetport. I'm leaning towards the following:
Motul (trans/brakes)
NEO (trans/brakes)
ATE (brakes)
Redline (trans/brakes)
I just need to know the experiences people have had with certain brands and grades. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Ren

Here is what I use in my 3rd Gen.
Motul DOT 4 Racing Brake Fluid 600
Redline MTL Transmission Fluid
I've had this in my car for a year now with no problems. I even do a bit of road racing on occasion and have hand no troubles with it so far. I have a friend that has run the same setup for a couple of years and hasn't had any trouble so far. Just my 2 cents.

Brakes wise i you AP racing dot 5
Trans I use Omega, im not sure of the weight..
You know I used Redline, but after like one or two
races I noticed it was getting hard to shift.. So i talked with my buddy thats good buddies with the guy that races the Redline Altezza here, and here is some inside info, he doesnt even like it. They change it every race too, im sure most car companies do that, but he doesnt recommend it for the street.
So all the guys there and me just started talking about which is best for street, but will take on the track too, and they said OMEGA.. Now Im not promoting this but I got about 1500km out of my Redline and I get about 2500 out of the OMEGA, its pennies more and lasts a whole lot longer....
GOOD LUCK!!
