Name that pipe quiz.... I need a bit help here lads.

Since I havn't worked on an FD engine before and bought the car without the engine in I am going to install me new engine this week so need a bit help and it'll save me loads of time if you lads can tell me roughly where things go or what attaches onto the various pipes/bolts.

I have put different colour arrows to make it easier.

First one

Second

Third

Fourth

Fifth

Sixth

Seventh

1 (white)looks like one of the air intake hoses. The other two larger hoses connect to the stock airbox

3 looks like the hose that goes to the upper radiator opening.

You need to get a FSM (Factory service manual). You can download one for free at the top of the 3rd gen section.

3 small goes to the heater core inside. if you have a third gen, you should see the hose on the passengerside by the rails.

Looks like a used Japanese engine you're putting in. I would SERIOUSLY strip the motor to the short block, clean and inspect EVERYTHING, and reassemble properly. That motor is mighty dirty/corroded, and you might have quite a few "gotchas" waiting for you. Do NOT just install that long block - take your time and find the problems now, while they're much easier to get to out of the car.

I'm taking it back out in a couple of months to rebuild it, basically I want to put the standard engine in, get it running and then go from there.
I have the service manuals to help me but your input is better. Well most members are anyway. I'm asking simple questions, if you dont want to answer then dont. I'm far from thick and could work it all out myself but then whats the point in this forum to make my life easier???
Thats the whole point in helping each other out.

Should have added....

3rd....small hose goes to hard line that runs along the right hand side of the engine compartment back to the heater core

I have put different colour arrows to make it easier.

First one

White and red go to the airpump (on U.S. cars)
Green goes to the Charge Control Valve
Blue goes to the Charge Relief Valve
Yellow looks like it would go to the nipple on the CCV

Second

Oil Cooler

Third

Small line goes to heater core
Large line goes to radiator

Fourth

Water hose to heater core

Fifth

fuel lines

Sixth

air supply to Brake booster

Seventh
Not sure about the connectors.

In the first pic: White goes to ACV, red to air pump, Blue to BOV or ABV, Green to CRV, yellow looks like it goes to the vacuum nipple on CRV.

I think everyone covered all the others.

Bad Karma7 gets the cupie doll!! He is the only one to get 100% on the #1 pic.

As for 7, the connectors go to the side of the tranny. You will need to correspond the connectors to those at the side of the tranny (i.e., each connector is unique and has only one mate that fits)
