I recently purchased a 93/94 RHD FD, it appears to have been a auto that was converted to manual, but while doing some routine maint. on the car Herblenny and i found this part that is connected to harness but neither of us could figure out what it is, so im posting it here. If someone would please enlarge the photos so they can be easily seen i would appriciate it

That is the inhibitor switch that bolts onto the side of an auto transmission. It tells the ecu what gear the transmission is in and also makes sure the car is in Park when engaging the starter. Since your 7 was converted to manual you should remove it, however you will have to splice a couple wires so the starter will engage.

Yes, only if you connect the Blue/Yellow wire with the Red/Yellow wire. Otherwise you won't be able to start your 7.
