i hate:

the nice parts are so expensive. even used.

that within 8 months of owning the car i went through 2 engines

old parts break easy

i hate that i didnt buy a roller and do a v8 swap to begin with.

There are a few things i disike. One is how people just assume that the car is an unreliable pos. They might not be the most reliable car but they are not even close to as bad as what people make them out to be. On the other hand, I slightly dislike the reliability, although I do love playing with engines, finding out wtf went wrong and making some attempt to fix. I really hope I have enough ***** to rebuild mine when time comes (especially after the 13brew hall of shame thread.)

But the absolute WORST thing about my car is:
"Hey bro, wanna race?"

The passenger door handle is definitely the worst thing about the car.

Mostly just the quality of the interior plastic, and how hard you have to pull on the weak door handles to get the door to close completely. 1993 paint quality, a car this expensive should have had better paint. I wish the car had been 50 lbs heavier and had a little more beefy on the doors and interior. Of course Mazda was literally trying to save grams everywhere so they accomplished their goal.

Just ONE thing? I'd have to say the poor fit for tall drivers. It takes a lot of money and compromises to solve that problem.

There are other things but those can be managed in a better way.

The one thing i dislike most has to be the smell of me after having a drive in my sweetheart. Thats what i smelled like when I drove my moped at age 15.

The antenna
The map pocket lid
The engine and transmission heat
The fuel economy
The auto door lock function when you start the car, it's making me paranoid, one day i'm going to lock myself out, just don't know when
The push clutch to start function (happily eliminated)
The steering wheel size/weight/feel, doesn't have a nice balance imo
The vision of fuel tank/cell sticking out from under the rear bumper

wow, I didn't know I hated so many things about my car, still wouldn't change it for the world though.......

For me its the smell. Once the stock cat goes dead trolls must be burning in the exhaust.
