reliability problems that most of them have, peeling of the interior on 93 models, always having this fear to blow the engine, overheating problems.

now that it's cold out the windows are always fogged up. it either gets too hot or too cold when it finally gets defrosted. 10 minutes of driving = 2hrs of sex in any normal car.

also, it's just too damned old and **** likes to break. ie: door handles, passenger "oh ****" handle, pw switches, etc.

The non tilt steering wheel. Once you fix something, about a week later something else breaks.

I know I will be flamed for it - but I'd really much rather see non-rotary engine in it. I sometimes get nightmares about my engine dieing on me

And that I cannot find anything for my car in Europe (or hardly so), so I have to import from the states and then the price is usually doubled or tripled (shipping, customs, taxes, ...).

I fixed most of other problems so I cant complain too much about it. Plus I only do about 3k miles on it yearly (mostly driving to, on and back from the track, or some weekend drive).

thing i dislike the most is not being able to drive it as often as i'd like.

2nd place is getting it fixed when some weird problem arises. thankfully, it has actually been more reliable than my previous car - an e36 bmw.

Hrmm things I hate about it...
1. It seems like everyone likes to hit my car while its parked miles away from any car.
2. How I have to go through the passenger seat to open the driver door.
3. Big *** steering wheel that makes me squeeze under it then kick my door.
4. When your cruising with your window open and you wash your front window and the windshield fluid gets in your face.
5. Cheap paint on 93 ( So im repainting it.)
6. It likes to be washed as much as a human.

The only vehicle I've ever had that never gave me one problem with mimimal (and I mean MINIMAL) maintenance was a 98 Toyota Tacoma. I have a '93 FD. It's 13 years old (built may of 92) -- of course stuff is starting to break down on it just because of age. And because some of the parts are friggin cheapo, but unless you wanna buy a Ferrari or Bentley you're going to get cheapo factory parts in all cars. The only thing I really don't like about the RX7 the way it comes is that I can't drive it like I want to through city streets because a vintage red mint condition FD draws a cop's attention just as much as it does *everyone* else's. Also being on the freeway, going 100 but still completely snug with every turn and no jittering. You forget how fast you're going (if you don't accidentally climb higher than 100) and can easily get popped that way. I've been lucky so far.

1. The rattles and squeaks and rattles and squeaks and rattles and squeaks
2. Knocking the door with my foot everytime I exit the car
3. Flimsy handles
4. Poor stock water and oil pressure gauges

Apart from those things I LOVE MY RX!

It's a sports car so I don't think space or fuel economy shold be an issue. If they are go buy an SUV

4) cooling issues ugh.
I changed to a 330mm SPARCO Mugello steering wheel w/ Q/D hub. Relocated the cruise and horn to the underside of column cover. Walk away with steering wheel for excellent theft deterence. You will save about 25 lbs. as the wheel and airbag unit are surprisingly heavy. NOPI has everything.

Going non-seq. simplification will free up some power.

I don't understand why so many people are worried about their engine going.... Bad modding? Bad tuning?

I have total confidence in my motor and the upgrades/mods I performed to make it more reliable.
