N.Z targa rally, FD strikes again :)

1st : 2003 porche 911 GT3
2nd: 1999 porche 911 GT3
3rd: 1992 rx7 (just that giddy feeling)
4th: 2003 porche 911 gt3 (lots of porches lol)
5th Subaru WRX sti Cars are right, car years may be slightly off)

Looks like another good finish for the 7

Ohh for your information the targa was tarmac and over 900 kilometers and 10 stages. Some harsh and unpredictable roads with a lot of very sharp curves. So perfect sports car terrain hehe

It gives ya that giddy feeling when ya realize how old the design is coming up against (modern) race-bred 911's

But on a sad note, there would have been another rx7 in the top 10 (I think) had it not crashed and the rx7 that came 3rd had some problems that may have cost it 1st place ( can't remember all the details)

Oh yea can you help me make a signature?

heres my idea...

(In the land of the honda, it is the FD that rules) or something along those lines, seeing I live in New Zealand where we only drive japanese cars and european luxury models plus fords lol its funny how there are probably more fd rx7's than the sum total of imported mustangs, camaroes, corvettes, vipers etc of all years heheh now thats proportions for ya!!

I wish we had some tarmac rally races in the US. We have some rally racing but it's always on dirt or gravel roads...

Well you guys dont have many curvey roads do you?

It was an awesome race hehe, classic cars racing against modern cars Well it was only a few hundy to enter, I really wish I had my car working lol

Well too bad about the states but NZ is like lil nipon we have the mountains and the cars of japan hehe we even have the people too. And plenty of hardly used tarmac roads

its 7 heaven I tell ya!!

uhh, been to the USA lately? We have more twisty roads in Dallas than the whole north island down there. It is more a matter of the beloved roundyround racing that has hipnotized the US car race scene.

And Jon Mag,-- We do have a Tarmac rally in the North American continent..well close enough Targa New Foundland. Same thing as the new Zealkand rally. In fact it is a spin off of that excat rally

I plan on being there in 07' if things go as planned. Come join the fun. Damian may bring teh CYM if it all falls together. But that is a looong way off

The Targa was some time ago now. They did well to get back into 3rd. Unfortunate about Rotor Dave and Hamish in the R-Magic FD.

They crashed about half way through the rally and had to retire. But the rally was like last year and as you've seen from the Nationals it's back together again.

p.s. I'm in CHCH so unless you guys wanna do a tarmac rally from CHCH to Auck then I'd say a track day in Taupo could cost me a little extra
