jealous about what? About you have a FD? In case you don't know, this is a RX-7 forum. Most of us have a RX-7 here. If about your future bodykit? we have better taste

BTW, try the search. You will find a lot of info. It's hard to give you any advice since you didn't give us a price range and what kind of performance you looking for.

Also do a search for "3rd gen body kit" there will probably be body kits that you like better than veilside(hopefully)..

please remember the FD is a great looking car as it comes off the produciton line .. not all kits enhance it, many look like they're trying to turn it into 'just another ricer'!!!

just my opinion

Good heavens people, if he like the Veilside kit, he likes it. It's his FD, not yours.

fknwill, get what you like. It's your car. If you haven't purchased your kit yet, as the others have said, there are quite a few kits for the FD:

http://www.rxecret7.com/exterior.html

I've changed my mind at least 30 times for what exterior things I want to do. One month, one thing looks good, the next month, some else I didn't like now looks good to me.

Remember, it's your car. Do what you want, but mostly, enjoy it.

Yea, it's possible, but you'll have to find a custom shop to do it. I don't think anyone in the forum here has done it to an FD, but it seems the conversion would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $10k. So most people spend that money else where on the car.

What are you looking for in a catback exhaust?
Loud?
Quiet?
Good performance?
Looks?
Open exhaust (best for shooting flames )?
etc.?

ttpowered; looking for a 7 or 8 on scale of 1-10 10 being loudest, also performance is key looks really dont matter not to say i want a little noodle out the back of my car or for that matter a flower shaped exhust if you get my point but for the most part looks dont matter, shooting flames would be cool too, can side exhust be done or dual exhust, i would prefer dual

If you want a large tip exhaust, something like the HKS Dragger, GReddy Power Extreme or ones along that line will give you that larger tip look.

Something smaller would be the Blitz or the HKS Hiper.

As for dual/side exhaust. Anything like that will be custom and you'll have to find a shop to fabricate all the parts and install it. Basically, anything you want can be done if you have the $$$$ and find the shop to do it.

if it wasn't a 95 I would not care so much..... if it was a 93 I would say go for it. That car is a collector's item, not a rice platform. But like Mahjik says, if he wants it, its his car. I am not going to lose any sleep over it.

I guess on second thought, maybe it is a good thing.... if he f#cks up his car with a kit, it just makes mine all the more valuable....

My thoughts exactly.

Don't forget about your giant alluminum wing and the east bear headlight kit, fknwill.

Even though I am relatively new to this forum, I have been an RX-7 nut ever since I saw the very first article on the 3rd gen. in Road & Track. (December 1991 - still have it) I saw those pictures and it was love at first sight. I promised myself that one day I would own the most attractive car on the planet (to me, at least).

No other automobile has wowed me like the FD. Hell the only reason I like the new Vette is because they are blatant rip-offs of the FD.

Soon after I got a 2nd gen, because it was much more affordable. 2 more 2nd gen's and 2 3rd gen's later I am still hooked. RX-7's regardless of year, are some of the most unique looking cars out there. It makes me sick to see people taking an already scarce commodity and turning it into a hack-job.

I challenge someone to take the time and effort to go buy a riced 7 (body) and change it back to the original body!!!!!

DAMN THAT MOVIE !!!!

PS - The plethora of The Fast & the Furious bandwagoners on this forum is geting out of hand !!! And, I know for a fact that there are some die-hard rotorheads who couldn't agree with me more.
