I was replacing an air filter on my 3 gen yesterday. One of the air hoses fell off and I cannot figure out how to reconnect it....
As you are looking at the engine from the front of the car the mystery hose comes off the right side of the air box (comes straight out the side), drops down and curves under the box. The take off point is above the air filter. The lower hose connection came off whatever it was connected to and now I can't figure out what to reconnect it to...! Please help. I can't leave it because otherwise unfiltered air gets into the engine.

this is the exhaust for the air pump. if you look inside your air box you will see that it is sealed from the intake. The hose does not connect to anything. So don't wory about it.

In case you are curious, the hose is connected to a small noise eliminator in the airbox.
You know that moowing sound poeple talk about when they get an aftermarket air cleaner? That noise eliminator in the stock airbox gets rid of that funky little noise.
