My turbo glows RED HOT! (when it's F'ing idling) >:-(

So, the quick version -

7/05 - Car get's rear-ended, take car to body shop
7/05 - Go to shop to check on car, ******* guy said while he was doing the hood, he re-clocked my turbo, because it was "wrong"...
8/05 - waiting
9/05 - waiting
10/05 - waiting
11/4 - Pick up the car, drive it home. From 7:30 P.M. to 11:30 A.M., my friend and I work on the car. (Two MSD Blaster coils, SRmotorsports Super Fuel Pump, couple of gauges, MSD DIS-2 Ignition)
11/5 - Drive car to track, car just feels WRONG. Making 12 psi, but no pull, garbage.
Stop on side of road, one of the vacuum lines blew off the UIM. (I was like "WTF", this CAN'T be responsible) Then I thought, well, maybe I'm just crazy, I haven't driven it for a while.
Make my first, and only run at the track, a whopping 15.70....YEAH! That was with a 2.4 60ft.

Now I'm a. pissed off b. confused c. embaressed

I open my hood, and I see a little grey and white thing which I thought was a wire laying on my turbo. NO! It was the silicon o-ring, laying next to the retaining clip for the compressor housing, and the housing is clearly "off". So, there's a lawsuit coming from that end already. The compressor wheel looks like the fins were rolled in, it's definately dead. But, it currently spins freely, there is no shaft play. I call it a night, and drive in vacuum, under 5k back home. (27mi)

When I get home, the freaking exhaust housing and manifold are just glowing read hot, like I beat the **** out of it. At this point I just say "f-it" and go inside.

3 hours later, I come back out to move the car inside the garage, and it starts to get red again. IN LIKE 30 SECONDS!!

My first thought was that it was crazy lean, but I don't see how...the brand new pump, which is huge, and VERY loud. My knock levels when I drove the car home from the shop were...25-30 on the PFC...(where they always are)
And, from the house, to the track and back, the highest I saw i think was 40 or so.

Ok, so a little long...but the most important part is...why?

I'm guessing the exhaust is not flowing freely and it's getting worse by the second hehe

not sure what you think the shop did to your turbos, but usually if your downpipe or turbos are glowing red it means that the main cat is almost completely clogged, like fritz said

Maybe the water inlet pipes are clogged??

But as already stated above, exhaust restriction would be public enemy #1

If you got rear ended, could the exhaust have gotten kinked?

Maybe the pipe to the cat from the airpump broke or came off?
