I was driving on the freeway and my battery light, my oil light, and coolant light all came on, but seemed to be drivign fine. After a little more driving i realized that my car would shutter when i tried to boost. Eventually, the car was unable to increase speed at all and just died when i got to a hill. I tried to jump it, but it wouldnt start. It actually didnt even have enough power to roll up the windows. I was wondering what the problem could be. I was thinking that it was an alternator problem, but I wanted to check with you guys before I went and replaced that.

Alternator would be a likely culprit

 

exactly same thing happend to me its alternator mate, once i got the alternator fixed all the lights went back out,,,and car runs fine again

 

It's the alternator for sure. Get a reman from Malloy Mazda (speak to Ray Crowe), don't even bother with a local rebuild.

 

If you can buy a $20 multimeter from Sears or borrow one you can test the alternator. I think AutoZone and/or Advance can will test it for free.
