Today I installed my random technology mid cat, and went to "attempt" to pass smog. Unfortunaltley I did fail, However I was SO close its not even funny. My car is actually not running rich like I thought and according to the machine, im running right at 14.7:1

My air pump is hooked up but not working, my precat is fryed, and the only cat working is the high flow mid cat. The guys did not know the air pump wasnt working, as everything "looks" fine so I passed the visual.

Here are the results: CO @ 15 mph MAX=0.52 MY spec=0.01.NOX @ 15 mph MAX=704 MY spec=98. HC @ 15 mph MAX=88 MY spec=87.NOW the 25 mph test is where I failed! CO @ 25mph MAX=0.50 MY spec=0.00. NOX @ 25mph MAX=738 MY spec= 98. NOW HC's @ 25mph MAX= 53 MY spec=59 SO CLOSE! well all I need to do now is get my air pump working and I know for SURE ill pass next time. Hope this helps anyone!

 

fix the air pump and you could pass or you could run a mix of denture alcohol, it should lower your emission numbers enough since your close.
