So, I decided to try some donuts for the first time after watching this video.
Looks like I can only do about 3/4 of the way around too. Is there some some sort of intervention system kicking in?

Good work man!!!! Thats a really good video. If you dont mind me asking what video camera is that in the shot in front of that building??? Also, on the scene where they are right there on your wheel at ground level what did they do old the camera out the window or what???

The reason he stopped is because he slammed on the brakes when he got to the 180° mark. I would guess the reason you stopped at that point.
Your reason, assuming you aren't pushing down the brake, is that you aren't letting the rear tires get enough traction. You can't just push the pedal down and hope for the best. You have to allow the rear tires some traction so the front tires (turned as far as they can go) can move forward a bit and turn the rest of the car.
Try doing the donut and when you slow down, let off the throttle just a little. You should get the side ways motion again as soon as the rear tires get a whee bit of traction.
