my new koyo dont fit crap

Hey all

I bought a new koyo awhile back and just now got around to installing it, I have a pfs ic and cannot get the ic duct to drop in properly for the intercooler. I have been able to get the radiator down as far as i can by flpping the brackests and redrilling the uppper radiatior holes. But now am at a dead end "looks to me" I shaved the fan supports in effort to try and coax it but it was worhtless. Anyone been able to get a koyo in on a pfs ic equipped car without butchering the crap out of the car. any insight would be greatly apriciated.

I installed a GReddy SMIC and a KOYO with stock fans...its a bitch to get it to fit right...my intercooler is very slanted and w/o a duct (because it would not fit)

oh yeah, i didn't cut any part of the car or fans to get it to fit, all i did was remove the cross support bar..

You will have to bore out the holes on the brackets so they kinda slide down further. As for the IC Duct...you will have to trim the hell out of it to make it fit.

I ended up trimming the duct by 1" all around (intercooler side) to make it fit. Still was tight.

well after alot of trimming i've gotten the radiator to sit down a half an inch farther. I chopped the upper corners off the radiator "hitting the frame", elongated the upper mounting holes on the radiator, trimed the bumper rienforcement "end tank was hitting". and cut the ic duct on the underside where it hits the top tank of the radiator, and shaved part of the e-fans where the ic duct hits also.

I would have gladly paid the extra now for a mazdacomp and avoid this crap.

I also should have just waited till after sevenstock but no I just had to fiddle with it, damn.

I have the PFS SMIC and the Koyo N-flow. Got both to fit by flipping the brackets and w/o trimming th IC Duct. Also Running Flex-a-lite Dual 10" S-Blades.

well its in with alot of mutalation to the ic duce and radiator brackets.

I would not recomend this radiator at all it was a big pain, but in tha 93 it was cake unfortunetly for my 94 the a/c condensor is diferent siting higher and a bracket hit sthe radiator also not alowing it go any lower.

Everything fits not as well as i would like but after sevenstock iill see what i can do to make it fit better but damn i wish i spent the extra money for a mazdacomp.

You have to cut a few things, shave corners to get it to fit right
