well atlast i got another fd its got 40000 miles on it got a fresh rebuild its running way too rich its almost stock ... the turbos seem to have a little problem the primaries aint workin i dont have a boost gauge on it rite now will be gettin one this week .... the car accelerates fine the turbo kiks in at abt 3500 where theirs a reosnable amount of acceleration but at arnd 5000 the car seems to be loosing it and starts to slug ....? whats causing this i cant figure out any help apreciated ????? n yeh ill post piks of it tom ....

piks will be up tonite ... for now i could use a little help the turbos acting weird .... the car smokes alot when started but im told its had a fresh rebuilt its running way too rich .... it idles perfectly almost no hesitaion at 900 .... drives perfect except for the weird boost pattern it gives me .... although i dont have a boost gage right now it accelerates nicely at 3500 when the turbo kiks in then slows down at abt 5 k n feels sluggish like im loosing accleration .... any ideas whats causing this ????

 

+ one thing more it idles smooth i mean theres no drop in rpm's at ideling but theirs this very weird anoyying ticking sound coming fomr the exhaust and engine bay cant figure out what it is sounds like plugs but i changed em just 50 km's ago what else could cause this .....????

You probably need to replace all the solenoid hoses, the solenoids that have failed, the marginal or failed check valves, and check the pressure tanks. The secondary turbo is probably not coming online.

That's a good place to start anyway.

So, you're in Cali and bought a car with 40k mi on it, but you have pics of a RHD car with 26000km on it?

sorry 40 k was a typo.... i was in san jose cali ive moved to pakistan now ..... the car has 26000 km's on it rite now ....

 

still got probs with the car ... all the ones mentioned above any idea whats causing this sluggish behaviour ?.... ...

yeh i know its a stupid typo i accidently wrote down the milage of my previous fd ... as for the part why i got it well this one was the only one with low milage on it except for the problems listed the cars in excellent condition just what u would expect from a 26000 km driven car .... the rest i saw here had high miles on them n most of them were rollers with bad motors ..... i was told by the previous owner that it had just got a rebuild and run only 300 km on it so far ... as for the fact i cant get access to a dyno here i think my possibilities of tuning this car rite are pretty slim ... as for the smoke part the car is runnin very rich ..... as for my last fd it was time for a rebuild n i sold it ....
