+1 for the leaky injectors. This can also contribute to greater fuel dilution in the engine oil (possible sign to look for).

Dave,

I can't answer that because I have never run my tank out. In fact, I don't remember ever running it until the low fuel light came on. Mazda claims that the tank holds 20.3 gallons (or something like that). I believe them.

You are right to always let it warm up. I would go back and check the spark plugs. Do they smell like gas? How fowled up are they? White? Black? Are they OEM (NGK)? Change them =$30

Next, you should be changing out the fuel filter every 30k miles, if you are not sure if it was done--it wasn't. The filters are $25, but they are a major pain in the *** to change out. Check to see how dirty the fuel in it is.

Third, pull out the injectors and send them to a cleaning/balancing shop. This will cost you a little over $100 and give you piece of mind.

Basic maintenance that will cost you less than $200.
Well i fixed my secondary turbo problem, it was pressure chamber problem and now double throttle is working. now my mpg roughly 11

Sparks are NGK BUREQ7-s i will change them. I can not identify how fouled they are, i cleaned them, they had carbon deposits on them.

I already have the fuel filter, i will replace it. how does fuel filter affect MPG?

I will clean injectors as well

If your gas tank was nearly empty, you didn't even get 20 mpg on that tank. I'm not sure you should be bragging. An FD gas tank is just over 20 gallons.
Ok sorry, I didn't do my math and just threw it out there. So lets say 18-24mpg, around 16/17 gallons filled my tank.

I am in no way bragging, was just posting what I thought and felt. I think it gets great gas mileage, I am not use to getting 30-50mpg, I am very satisfied. Stop hating...

No effect on MPG at low load. When dirty it will only restrict flow at high power output, possibly making the mixture go lean.

I'm not hating. I'm challenging the accuracy of your statement. You shouldn't write something if it isn't true. If you are in the habit of throwing out figures without checking them first, you are going to have a tough time on this forum.

I accept your apology
