My headlights have a mind of their own!

so my headlights are freaking out on me

i think it could be a grounding issue as i dont have a grounding kit, and its the stock harness from 94

my buddy told me it could also be the headlight switch on the dash could have gone bad

let me know what you guys think it could be

it seems to do it when im accelerating, and sometimes when i hit some bumps

did you check your relay in the front relay box? Mine did that after the relay went bad...water got in there and killed the relay...lights went up and down just like that.

pulling the fuse will kill power to the motors
if you want them back up, just put the fuse back in

Check the harness that runs under the fender liner, it looks like you are lowered a good amount and it will get chewed up by the tire.

That doesn't fix the issue at all, that's just half-assed. Hope you don't take that approach when working on your car.

Looks like it's either water in a relay, or perhaps something with the factory car alarm.

Mine was a rusty relay on the drivers side, along with the harness being chewed through on the drivers side. These have both been mentioned and they are easy fixes:-)
Same symptoms.

My money is that it is a relay. There are three of them as I recall, one in the front box and two over on the passenger side. I had one that was flipped upside down and it collected water of time in the waterproof coating. Did exactly as your headlights are doing now. The relay was under the relay boxes.
