My ghetto glovebox light fix

I'm bored, was searching the forums, and ran across some threads pertaining to that damn glovebox light. Figured I'd post the (non-typical) fix that I used a while ago.

At first I did the thing most people do: stick something on the top of the glovebox door to help close the switch, or just remove the switch/bulb entirely. Both of these annoyed me to no end. I then tried the Mazda replacement part for this problem, which is basically just a lengthened plunger. Unfortunately, the inherent design is flawed, and I started having the same problem again after just a few months.

So, I got an el-cheapo momentary switch (NC) from Radio Shack. I drilled a hole and mounted it to the metal bracket that the glovebox hinges on. This way, the switch presses up against the back of the glovebox which is hard plastic. By soldering on some simple spade connectors, this will plug right in to the stock connector.

I know, I know. Not the most exciting post in the world, but figured maybe someone could get some use out of it.
