Question My gearbox problem!!!

Hey hey,

have a 92 fd3s tt manual,

Just want to pick ye'r brains!!

The last night the transmission has started making noises, only way i can describe it is like loose bolts rolling around inside it!

Just to specisify more, when just ticking over in neutral it sounds this way, when i press the clutch to just before biting point, (preload ?), it stops completely then when i press the clutch to the floor fully it starts again but not as bad! it also make the noise when at low speeds.... cant hear it at high speeds but dont know if it stops or i just cant hear it!!!

Am i right in thinking is it the throw out bearing?

Thanks guys

sounds like you dont need any help.
i would check that first as it is cheaper to replace than anything in the trans would be.

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-gen-archives-73/tech-manual-directory-614824/

its pretty straight forward.

remove the exhaust.
remove the drive shaft.
remove the gear shifter.
remove the starter.
remove the trans bolts.
