Damian,

did you use the 928/S4 front calipers ?

BTW, do you still have the rotor & hats for sale or the entire kit ?

Does anyone have the spec's/size's of the rotors and the hat for this kit. I've tried hitting up Andrew and Damian, but I'm sure they've been busy. I'm not around my car and won't be able to be around it until this weekend, and I really need to get the measurements to order a set of noncrossdrilled rotors from Coleman so I can have them before Road Atlanta next weekend. I run the UltimateGarage "BigRed's" on my track car and have still been using the custom hat from Movit with the stock crossdrilled 993TT rotors. After 5-6 days on the track, the crossdrilled holes get stress cracks... and at $450 a set, it's going to add up real quick. The contact Damian lists at the start of this thread is no longer making the rotors. Anyone? If not, I'm going to end up biting the bullet and ordering another set of stock porsche rotors and measure my rotors and hats when I install them so I don't have this happen again.

Last attempt, anyone?

If not, I'll make sure I post spec's once I get them just in case anyone runs into the same issue in the future

Hi Brent,
I'm pretty sure it's the exact same rotor as the standard Porsche 911 big red kit. I've ordered replacements in the past from Coleman racing so possibly you could call them and ask using my name as a reference.

Stress cracks around the holes are no problem and you can use the rotors until you notice small micro cracks that bleeds all the way out to the outside edge of the rotor. Once that happens you should replace them asap. Rarely will a rotor crack in half on track it usually occurs once they cool down while sitting in the paddock. Even if there are micro cracks all the way out to the edge before they seriously crack you'll feel lots of pedal vibration etc... but it's a good idea to change them before this happens ;)

I would be interested to know how well this setup performs versus some of the other bbk's out there today.

Thanks Fritz,
I actually tried that with Coleman last time(and used yours and Damian's name as a reference) but didn't have any luck. I just tried calling them and ordering just a stock 993 TT rotor(rotors are the same, hats are different... lug pattern and depth, etc) and they couldn't do it. They needed the spec's so I just ordered a new set from elsewhere. That's good information to know though. I'll prob. keep my rotors on for this weekend since the stress cracks just showed up and are fairly new. I'll take my new set with me just in case.

That being said, I'll be sending my old rotors off to coleman to make a new set and I'll make sure I post the spec's once I get them for the rotors.

I have another FD track car that *SHOULD* be finished in a couple of months at the most that has the Stoptech ST-40 BBK that I will be comparing them to. However, there will be a few differences as FD with the stoptech's has a triple cylinder system an aftermarket adjustable bias bar.

Damian could prob. tell you better than anyone though as he has been running the stop tech's for a few years now after he sold his Big Red's to GooRoo.

Actually, the guy just called me back and informed me he acidentally knocked the only set he had off the top shelf in the warehouse and cracked them. Man, talk about a buzz kill! However, we start talking about replacement options as I told him I needed them by next weekend and he's a track guy as well. Turns out, he has some 13in(opposed the the stock's being 11 3/4 I believe), slotted and cyro treated rotors that he runs on his car!!! Guess who makes them? Coleman... haha. Sounds very similiar to the ones Damian was running. So they were $50 more than the stock rotors, but he has had his on his track car for 3 years now. I'm hoping these will work out for me :D
