my Fd's porting and turbo project is almost finished

Well, after caving in and going single, I am happy that my car is almost final. I have spent a lot of time searching these forums (this place can be invaluable huh?) and seeking professional advice. Thanks to everyone who has helped me.

I am running a t62-1 custom kit designed by steve kan and built by BNR Supercars with a 3.5 inch downpipe and have upgraded to a much bigger port, 1600 cc injectors, water injection, aem ignition and some other goodies.

We will be tuning for 14psi and 17psi.

It has been a few months without my car. I keep having dreams about going out driving in it. The other night I was racing corvettes.

I should be picking the car up friday for a short break in period and then an afternoons tuning. I will post my sheets then.

This stuff takes forever to get right...and I am hoping for the best.

I am going to hold on to my m2 twins which are still in almost new condition until I see how I like the single setup. This is the first time I will have driven one.

On another note, one of the guys on the forums with a sweet LS1 FD is going to meet up with me for some "testing". I am going to do my best to keep the rotary god's smiling.

Thanks again everyone...

Jason

You forgot one very important item when you're playing with the Corvettes:

A SET OF BUTT PLUGS from PG-Unlimited Crock o'**** Racing.

That DEFINATELY needed to be added to this conversation.

Anyways...Sounds like the car is going to be awsome, looking forward to seeing a dyno sheet and some pix.

Jason,
I think you will be pleased with the results and the response of that kit. Let us know how you like the finished project.

I have a big artist workshop coming up and we are renting steady cams and other pro recording equipment. if i can get any extra time while i have that stuff for www.conceptart.org/workshop then I will get some great vids.

I'm the afore mentioned V8 guy. I have to add the two caveats, that 1) I'm a shitty driver, and 2) I have gremlins of my own. Still should be buckets of fun though. Get that car back and get rid of the frickin rain Jason.

Ah if only it were that easy. My gremlins are tuning related. I still have very little idea of what I am doing there, despite my ability to datalog and chnge the tune. I'll learn one of these days.

If you whoop me too bad I'll just insist that we both run our tanks dry, fill up with 87 octane, and run again.

yzf...plenty. and thanks for being an *******. dont make me post that pic of your head rotating with all the historical religious psychos again.

thanks matty...i will be well into the gas and running thru the gears by the end of the weekend. I want to shoot some vids....I wish I had done that back when I had my m2 set running strong...anyhow...I am very interested to see if I am going to like it or not.

I cant stand non sequential...so this will hopefully be much better than that.

I dont know man. I decided to do a custom V mount and I'm having a guy take my scetches and draft it all up in a CAD program now so I can oder everything.

Its probably going to be a while. I just take turns with the years.....drive it for a year then let it set for a year. Keeps the miles down haha

Artguy...

couple of years ago, you were the BIGGEST Touter of
the sequential Twins.. What happened??

Did you actually set the M2 twins NON Sequential?

Blew your Motor??

And what made you choose the T66-1 Single turbo
Over the rest?? that is a Greddy Turbo ???

Just wondering why you jumped ship??

Quick Reply: my Fd's porting and turbo project is almost finished
