My fans wont turn off? even when the car is
I woke up this morning to a flat battery, got a jump start and went to work. At lunch time my battery wdead again, got a jump start , went for a drive , came back to work and turned her off but I heard a humming noise coming form the engine bay, had a look and my fans were still running on high even though the car was turned completely off. So I unplugged them , went back to work and came back out a few hrs later to go home and she started up straight away. So, it was my fans draining the battery.
Any ideas why they wont turn off? even after the car is switched off?

i had this same problem. check the relays, check for a wire being grounded out. i believe theres only 3 or 4 items that have control of the fans (ecu, thermoswitch...), and if its none of those its most likely a grounded wire or a relay. someone correct me if im wrong, its been awhile since ive looked at the schematic.
i did my own version of the fan switch mod to fix mine.
basically when my switch is in the 'off' position, the car is controlling them. when my switch is 'on' they are on high. and when the car is off, they are off no matter what (even if my switch is still on).
theres a really good diagram in the FSM of the layout of the fans. if you are interested in my setup i can take some pics of how i re-routed some of the wires.
