my door handle broke?

So I went out to my car on tuesday and the handle wouldn't pull up, eventually i got it to and had to fiddle with it and the door for a few minutes for it to open. Now I just pull on the handle and it just stays up and won't work at all. Has anyone had this problem, I just read about a guy buying a new handle and it costing him almost 300 and I'm hoping it's a linkage or something i can fix. anybody have any ideas?

some people sell them cheap used here on the forum. you just need to swap the locking mechanisms (after removing handle from car) and maybe put a nice coat of paint on it if it has noticable key scratches. ive seen them posted for around 50-60 bones if you dont want to pay 300 for a new one. personaly i havnt seen a brand new one for less so if anybody knows, please post a link to a better deal.

Comptech: could you post who has them for 150? thanks

If you are handy you can bend the mettalic rods inside the handle for it to work. This will not be a fix for the future but will work for a time.
It is the plastic part that ware out and needs replacing.
