My custom phone holder

Hey everyone. I just finished this up and was pretty happy with how it turned out. I figured I might as well share with the rest of you.

The entire assembly can be removed in seconds, but is also very solid and sturdy. Its all attached to a small tab about the size of a penny. The mount slides under the tab and locks in place. I am also very happy with the design because it has two balljoints that allow the phone to be moved around and swivel sideways.

The phone itself just sits there. I test drove the car just now and after some hard cornering and a few 11-12 psi pulls, the phone has yet to fall from the mount. The phone rests on some grippy toolbox liner and it seems to do a great job holding the phone in place!

Let me know what you guys think about the looks, location, whatever.

Ha your right.. The only reason I made this was for the GPS though. That or it would be nice if I ever spent the money on a deck with an aux port..

All in all it cost me a grand total of $0 and about 2 hours to make.

HOLY ****!! I've never seen an original head unit on one of our cars before...

interesting.

Personally I'd rather have a GPS mounted on the top left of the windscreen.

Sorry but that looks tacky. Unless you use it for ipod?? Although i didnt see the cable.

I just stick my phone in the driver door handle pocket. That way when he rings, i just pick it up and put it on speakerphone.

Its almost impossible for me to get my phone out of its holster or my pocket my when im driving. I have mem fab seats and its TIGHT. With the seatbelt on and it makes it worse.

Seems to be too much clutter there for me but like the concept. Personally, I'd rather have a good cup holder mounted somewhere..

Is that the latest iPhone that can drive your car, control boost and injection and provide AI injection all at the same time?

iPhones are going to take over the world!!

If you remove your ash tray and get the 1st Generation Iphone plastic holder that comes in the box and cut the corners a quarter inch it locks in place leaving NO leeeeway.

Best place for the phone, and it looks like it was custom made for it.
