I thought my car was flooded and I just did the unflooding process. Bought new spark plugs and everything. The only thing I forgot to do was the ATF into the holes. Car won't start. I have no clue what it could be. Car cranks but won't fire. Any ideas? Could not putting the ATF make a difference? Please help.

What makes you think its flooded?

When I flooded mine (replaced injector O-rings and fuel POURED into the engine) the exhaust smelled like fuel. It took me an hour to get the car running after that.

 

I was a moron and let it sit a weekend without really letting it warm up when it was 15 degrees out. Worked fine before, then I got back and it wouldn't start.

 

Do the unflooding procedure again and this time put ATF in the plug holes.

Make sure you have a fully charged battery.

 

Just out of curiousity what does the ATF do?
