BHP does not mean wheel HP.

Brake horsepower (bhp) is the measure of an engine's horsepower before the loss in power caused by the gearbox, alternator, differential, water pump, and other auxiliary components such as power steering pump, muffled exhaust system, etc. Brake refers to a device which was used to load an engine and hold it at a desired RPM. During testing, the output torque and rotational speed were measured to determine the brake horsepower

^ so i guess, after the three years I lived in England, my grasp of English terms is wrong...

I'm well aware of what bhp means on this side of the Pond... I also know what people are referring to when they say bhp (or brake) in England. Bhp and whp are interchangeable there.

Also, to the OP, if Re:worx did your mapping (I'm assuming that Max is still working there) than you likely are running rich, I'm willing to bet that you're also running a higher than stock base fuel pressure. The increased fuel pressure will also raise the flow of your injectors.

I used to drive down to see Max, Geoff, and Chris when I was living near Huntingdon, up by where the A1 meets theA14.

This is the story of my engine,
Basically reworx built 3 racing engines for themselves 2 years ago to go on track and my engine make just under 500bh at the time so they didn't want it and they put on side, then a customer came with blown engine witches my previous owner and bought the engine of them and they fitted on his car plus tune and remap, but I don't know who works on it,regarding the fuel system all I know my car running rich yes,and 850cc injectors all round ,sard high capacity fuel pump, and that's it I don't know how much flow or other stuff because I don't have gauges yet to monitor what's going on.

I want to put bigger injectors like 1680cc secondary but the problem is my ecu is hks pro f con very hard to find someone near me to remap it that's why I have to wait till summer and try sort it out.

Hrm... well seing as the OP himself is listing his BHP and his WHP as seperate numbers...

Seeing as all the car dealerships list their cars new on their sites with BHP numbers (which we all know isn't WHP)...

In all the time I've spent in the UK I've never had any "car guy" tell me BHP was WHP.

Are you on fduk?

I'm sure you could find a used Apexi PFC in good nick there, also Blitzboy on that forum is meant to be pretty good at mapping and he'll probably do it for less than re:worx.

Um.... He listed his car as having 400bhp, then specified it as having 394. His dyno graph shows 467 hp. 15% drivetrain loss would be about 70hp, taking his wheel figure down to mid-390's... Aka an approximation of 400 at the wheels.

But whatever dude, keep thinking what you want, I really don't care enough to argue with you over the specific usage of the word "brake" in British car slang. The "car guys on your visits" probably didn't use the terms because they didn't feel like arguing with you over something stupid like this. Just like they probably didn't tell you that they were chuffed you'd come but were gutted that the trip made you skint..

You're right, I'm wrong, I don't give enough of a **** about your opinion to keep arguing.
