My car is stuck at the dealer for almost 3 months!!!
Hello everyone... im still new here and have a major problem with my car!!! It has been almost 3 month my car has been stuck at the dealer!
The problem was that i needed 2 change the primary injector as it was running 2 rich! so i bought a pair of Power Enterprise 550cc...bolt on! I found out dat now it doesnt fit?!? I talked with another mechanic and he told me that it wasnt the primary but the secondary injectors that must be replace!!! WTF?!?!?!
So can anyone help me n give me the basic differences between the two? All i know is that one is 550cc and the other is 850cc... A picture would greatly help... tank-u...

I don't thinks leaky injectors are usually the cause of running rich. It could be a faulty sensor or ecu. Did check the engine for code? That would tell you if your sensors are bad.
If it is the injector, it could just need an injector o ring. No need to replace the whole injector.
It sounds to me that the mechanic doesn't know what he is doing. Dealers have a tendency to just keep on replacing parts when they don't know what is causing the problem. They run the bill sky high and you don't have a car to use meantime. Get your car back and have someone else check it out. If it is injector, he should have taken it out for inspection instead of speculating.
Haven't you learned not to take it to a dealer? Go to someone specialize in rotary.

Take djantlive's advice. I've heard a lot of horror stories of rotaries going to the dealer for minor work and then needing a new engine. Find someone local who knows rotaries.
Just because the dealer used to sell rx7s doesn't mean they know how to work on them, it just means they have to take them in to try and fix...

Dealers dont know JACK! I spent over 1200 bucks at the dealer to get my car back running like total ****! engine light on, gas smell....I found a real rotary mechanic and he said they had **** put in backwards, vacuume lines going to the wrong place, filters in wrong, you name it and they f'ed it up, 900$ to fix there f'up. dont EVER trust a dealer!
First thing search on the forum for a mechanic near you that others have trusted, then get your car towed the hell out of dodge!

Mine was at the dealer for 13 months, they took the engine out to "diagnose" the problem and then the mechanic had the brass to say "you should never take a rotary engine apart because you can't get 'em back together again"......hyuk, hyuk.
By the time his service manager kicked his *** to get it back together the parts, which had been in boxes on shelves and in closets and storage rooms all over the garage, weren't all there.....Well, guess what?
I went in there with the digital camera, didn't even ask, and took pictures of my empty engine bay, the parts on the floor and in boxes, etc. and then gave an accounting of exactly what numb-nuts had to say and sent it to the owner.
The general manager called me the next day and offered to pay for half. Was it a deal?
I dunno, cause when I got it back I spent the whole next 6 months reading this board and pouring over Robinettes site because my car had no boost and ran crappy. I ended up taking the manifold off and swiching hose after hose and replacing solenoids with broken nipples and gaskets, etc., etc.
I mean, man.....this car is nice, but it needs to be conquered in order to drive it.

Your dealer is a POS. It doesn't takes a few months to change the injectors. Actually, it will only take you a few short hours. Also, make them pay for a loaner car, because your car is still at their shop. Check out this site you might be able to find out how to remove your injectors. http://www.robrobinette.com/howtos.htm

first off, dont ever i mean ever take you rx-7 to the dealer.they do nat have a clue of whats going on.2nd buy a shop manual and do the all the work your self. it pays off in the long run plus you will learn a thing or two.
these cars are not that hard to work on. study the manual start off slow and you will get a feal of whats going on and you will have confidence to do some big sounding jobs (turbo swap, vaccum hose ty-rap, and so on)
